D.E. Boldt is a small family farm in California's Central Valley, growing organic peaches, plums and nectarines. Their fruit is harvested daily at peak maturity, and packed at the farm. Begun by the Ewy family in 1912, sons Alex, Nicholas and Peter are the fifth generation to work this same productive farm in Parlier, CA. Fruit is hand-picked into individual (half-bushel) containers and never dumped into (or out of) large bins. This allows them to safely pack a much riper and higher quality piece of fruit. The maturity at which stone fruit is picked determines its ultimate quality.
