Ooooby Winchester CIC

A percentage of the Ooooby Hampshire Ltd profits go to our sister company, Ooooby Winchester CIC. Our veg box customers can also opt in to adding a small donation to the CIC with their order. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, Ooooby Winchester CIC was established to increase access to local, nutritious food in the Winchester district, for everyone's benefit. Ooooby Winchester CIC is currently piloting a Good Food Box programme, thanks to funding from the Rotary Winchester. During the 3 month pilot (March-May 2021) the CIC is delivering free boxes to 15 families who are experiencing financial hardship. The CIC is working closely with evaluators to measure the impact and learn from the programme, with a view to developing a more long-term programme. Winchester Beacon

We are currently partnering with the Winchester Beacon to provide them with local, fresh fruit and veg. Supporters of the Beacon can now choose to order a veg box which will be delivered to their door. Not only will this mean that they receive much-needed fresh fruit and vegetables but it will help to avoid food wastage with the deliveries spread throughout the year, rather than donations arriving just at harvest time. What’s more, for every box purchased Ooooby Hampshire will donate a fruit bag worth just under £8. Navigate to the Boxes section of our website to find and order the Beacon Harvest Box.

Ooooby Hampshire invites customers to add a community donation of £1 or more to their orders. We then use the donations pot to support local initiatives that increase access to good food for everyone. Currently we regularly donate fruit and veg to Munch CIC, a local non-profit that runs community cooking workshops for children and vulnerable adults.
