Breathing New Life into Old Stuff
The Phoenix Green Store

I’m Kate. I’m an artist and a writer. I make things – mostly out of reclaimed fabric, but I also love to paint and write. And I could never choose which I loved most, so now I don’t choose, I just do, as the mood takes me. You can find me on Instagram where I take pretty pictures of all the stuff I love and share my creative muse. I write for No Serial Number Magazine and keep promising myself I will one day finish the novel I started when I was 15. My blog here aims to chart my journey through self employment, home education and saving the planet. Not necessarily in that order! I love nature, and dry stone walls, paint under my fingernails, and standing with my bare feet on the land and my face to the sun. I love stories. The stories of people, the stories of stuff. I love the idea of carrying stories forward, and of birthing new stories that honor the old. Hippy or witch? I’m maybe both. Follow me on my journey to support zero waste, plastic free living.

I receive fortnightly deliveries of fruit and veg, plus local eggs and honey. Always great produce, and I like supporting businesses that care about the environment and reducing plastic waste.
