Our herd of Dairy Shorthorn cows including Willow, Minnie and Cherry Blossom work hard to produce the creamy milk at Old Botton Farm parlour, which is then brought to our Creamery, less than half a mile away. We leave the milk unpasteurised to give the cheese it’s unique taste of the varied grasses found in Botton Village fields. Hand-made at Botton Village Creamery with vegetarian rennet, it is matured for a year, lovingly turned and washed by people we support.
Our Summer Field is an alpine style cheese which is only produced in the summer months when the cows have been put out to grass. It is wash rind by hand everyday for the first 6 months. It has a warming, honey flavour with a hint of acidity that is very moreish. Perfect with fruit or ideal for cooking, a perfect all rounder. Organic, 250g wedge.
